They're probably like some kind of weird stupid tracking collar or something. So they can tell who they brought here? I dunno. I mean yeah, they're definitely way too small to carry a person-- I'm kind of small and they'd never get me off the ground, 'cept for maybe a three-second hover that would be mostly jumping and gravity.
