[For a long time, there is muttering and shuffling, and no real discernible speech. Just a view from the ground of tree tops, green and bright in the summer weather, from where a New Feather's journal lays open.]

[If one listens closely, they may here complaints about Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan and fallen angels.]

[A moment later, a curious face swims into view of a boy with pale skin, blue eyes behind thick-rimmed rectangular glasses, and a shock of wildly messy black hair. His expression shifts quickly from curious to annoyed.]

Oh, that explains a lot.

[A disgruntled sigh.]

The script is blank!! Am I writing my own City of Angels, wherein Nicolas Cage has tiny useless blue wings??

[He sits back and falls mostly out of the journal's view.]

This movie is going to suck. Just sayin'.

Man, I just might be. Cameron Poe is kind of my role model.

Except I don't really plan on killing anybody, accidentally or otherwise. And I'm only thirteen, so I'm obviously not married and in jail for the birth of my baby girl.

Either way, maybe writing a movie for Nic Cage here will help pass the time. Never know when you might leave and all.

Not at all. I mean, the opportunity to redeem myself forever by destroying half of Las Vegas with a hijacked prisoner carrier jet would be pretty awesome, but not if it means I have to kill somebody on accident because they were being rude to my lady.

[He sounds very serious about this. ~~Yes, good. And it shall be glorious.~~]

But hmmm, maybe you're right. I guess I could give it a try. I mean I've always been a diehard fan of his movies, maybe I should try writing one.

If you do, I'll definitely read it. Maybe if you can bring it with you somehow when you get home, you can make a pitch to a movie company? I'd watch it, if I catch wind of it. I think there's an acting group here too, if you want to write something for them in the vein of a Nic Cage film. They'd probably take it up and act it out.

[He just laughs, for a second.]

I don't actually know if I could write a movie script, though. I mean I'm only thirteen, I don't think that's an age that people are gonna take me seriously at if I try to submit something like that.

You could always lie. I'd be impressed to know that someone that young could write an amazing film script, at least. [Probably not too good to encourage lying, though. :|a] I know of young authors too. It wouldn't be too strange.

Hahaha, well maybe I'll give it a go, then.
